Couple weeks back I had to once again make another trip back to Portland, OR a.k.a "City of Roses" for a quick meeting in Vancouver, WA. But this time it was a very quick trip, the shortest trip I've made anywhere if may say. I was only there for a few hours and then headed back to Idaho to continue the daily obligations. The trip got off to a not so pleasant start, I was supposed to fly out at 5:30 am and after connections I was scheduled to arrive into Portland around 10:30 or so, and to my surprise I just happened to miss the morning flight and to top that I lost my ID at the airport after checking in at the ticketing counter, all those events turned things off the rest of the trip and that's why of the small amount of content you will see below.
After getting picked up we drove across the bridge to beautiful Vancouver, WA.
There's a lot of things a like about Portland, but the one that stands out the most and ranks high on the list, is the industrial looks throughout the city and the culture, both combined give the city a whole different look and feel like no other city in the country.
And in matter of hours it was back to waiting at the gate, although this time the waiting was a lot longer and gates were changed several times, all that at the same airport, which made the trip seem a lot longer than it really was.
Welcome the Unite Late Express gate !
Sky looked beautiful flying at 35k feet, staring at the endless sky and clouds made me think and be grateful for being blessed to be a part of such a great industry and the people around me. The feeling of getting up every morning and do for a living what I enjoy and I'm passionate about, is priceless.
